State and National Activities
National FFA ConventionOur students have the chance to go to National Convention every year. They must fill out an application to see if they are able to go. At National Convention, they have the chance to go to work sessions and listen to guest speakers. It is a great experience for our members to have.

Iowa FFA Leadership ConferenceAt Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Ames, our members are able to compete in their CDE's against others. They are also able to receive their Iowa Degrees and take part in work sessions to learn new skills. This experience brings our members together and encourages them to work hard on their CDE.

Iowa State Fair
At the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, some of our members choose to take their livestock to show. Others have exhibits that make it to the fair. Their involvement demonstrates their hard work on they've done the past year. They are able to participate at the Iowa State Fair every year.
Ag Skill Career Development EventsThese contests include Ag Biotechnology, Ag Communications, Ag Mechanics, Ag Sales, Agronomy, Dairy Cattle Evaluation, Enviro. & Nat. Resources, Farm Business Management, Floriculture, Food Science, Forestry, Horse Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation, Marketing Plan, Meats Evaluation, Milk Quality & Products, Nursery/Landscape, Poultry Evaluation, Soils Evaluation, Vet Science. Our members can partake in these events every year.

Legislative Symposium
Every year some of our members are able to go to the capital and talk to our representatives about the importance of agriculture. This opportunity helps bring insight to how important agriculture is to our community and what we can do to continue to increase the amount of people involved in agriculture.
